I have had a love of music for as long as I remember and grew up listening to a very eclectic range of music from my mother’s retired music store in the early 70’s.
I dreamed of being on stage performing – it was all I ever wanted to do, but shyness pulled me back to my living room as a child with hairbrush -(microphone) in hand performing to my make believe audience.
It was in my early 20’s that I finally came out of my shell and haven’t looked back since, singing in theatre groups, leading music in church, playing in different bands – rock, country and folk. I always had wanted to try jazz, so when Jazz Connection let me join them – I was stoked!
I feel I have so much to learn – and what great fun it is in the process.
