I started playing piano at age 8 and by the time I left school had attained my ATCL. I was also a trained singer and accompanist. I always dreamed of being onstage, dressed in a beautiful gown, singing like the Andrew Sisters, never thinking it would happen to me!

As a teacher I had many opportunities to train choirs, write and produce shows for schools, communities and theatre groups.

Being brought up on music from the swing era, I have always had a love for jazz - its rhythms and intricate harmonies. 

I have been playing with and learning from many very talented musicians, in both big and small jazz bands for over 40 years.
I love the music, but the best thing is the friendships you make along the way.
